Ceramic fibre fabric
Ceramic fibre fabric is a woven material from ceramic fibre with inwrought stainless steel wire. It is designed for lining of piping or other thermal energy sources and for thermal insulation.
- Features very good chemical stability and high resistance to thermal shock;
- Resistant to corrosion, except for fluoride and phosphorus acids and concentrated alkalis;
- Resistant to oxidation;
- Shrinkage upon heating: up to 18 %;
- Operating temperature: up to +1,100 oC;
- Colour: white;
- Density: 1.5g/cm3.
Scope of application:
Compensators, rescue wraps, curtains, welding wraps, safety and insulation lids, panels, gaskets, cable or piping envelopments, and etc. are produced from ceramic fabric. It is also widely used for welding, in foundries, aluminium and steel plants, for boiler insulation and sealing, in shipyards, oil refineries, plants of electrical and chemical materials.
